ALGIERS - The 15th International Cultural Festival of Symphonic Music will take place from April 30 to May 7 at the Boualem Bessaih Opera House in Algiers, with the Czech Republic featuring as the guest of honor, according to the event’s organizers.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Arts, this edition will be dedicated to the memory of the late composer Noubli Fadel, who passed away on December 14 at the age of 74.
The festival will feature a diverse lineup of artists and musical ensembles from various countries, alongside the Czech Republic.
A leading figure in art and music in Algeria and the Arab world, Noubli Fadel distinguished himself through his mastery of the oud and his prolific compositions for Algerian television and cinema.
Throughout his career, he collaborated with renowned Algerian and Arab artists, including Saloua, Fella Ababsa, Wadih Al-Safi (Lebanon), Mayada El Hennawy (Syria), and Lotfi Bouchnak (Tunisia).
The 14th edition of the festival, held from April 17 to 23, 2025, saw the participation of 17 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, with Venezuela serving as the guest of honor.
Established in 2009, the International Symphony Music Festival serves as a premier platform for cultural and artistic exchange between Algeria and the global musical community.
