Lisbon, Feb. 25, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, advancing 0.29% to 9,295.90 points, a new high since June 2008, with EDP advancing 1.49%, in line with the main European markets.
The benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index) includes 16 companies, eight of which rose, five of them fell, and REN, Ibersol, and EDP Renováveis remained unchanged at €3.82, €11.45, and €13.50, respectively at the close on Wednesday.
EDP, which today presented its 2025 results, was the listed company that rose the most, closing at €4.49, followed by Mota-Engil, which rose 1.13% to €5.35.
BCP, which today reported profits of €1.018.6 billion, the highest ever and up 12.4% on 2024, rose 1.13% to €0.92, and CTT closed the session with an enhancement of 0.98% at €7.24.
Sonae (0.81% to €2), Teixeira Duarte (0.77% to €0.52), Altri (0.73% to €4.83) and Navigator (0.06% to €3.41) also closed higher.
Leading the declines was Corticeira Amorim, which fell 1.01% to €6.88, followed by Galp, down 0.90% to €18.26.
Semapa (0.82% to €24.1), Jerónimo Martins (0.72% to €21.92) and NOS (0.20% to €5.04) also closed in negative territory.
The main European markets closed higher today, with London up 1.18%, Paris 0.47%, Frankfurt 0.76%, Madrid 1.49% and Milan 1.11%.
