Italy won the mixed 2000 metre short-track speed skating relay event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on Tuesday, coming home ahead of Canada and Belgium.
    The team made up of Arianna Fontana, Elisa Confortola, Thomas Nadalini and Pietro Sighel clinched the host nation's second gold of the Games at the Milano Ice Skating Arena after Francesca Lollobrigida's triumph in the women's 3,000 metres speed skating on Saturday.
    Chiara Betti and Luca Spechenhauser were also celebrating after helping the Azzurri reach the final.
