TIRANA, Jan 19  /ATA/ The number of electric vehicles in the country saw a twofold increase in 2025. In the past year alone, 6,187 electric vehicles were registered, marking a 98% rise compared to 2024.

The figures were released on Monday by the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPShTRr).

"Year after year, the vehicle fleet in Albania is becoming increasingly GREEN!" reads the announcement for the media.

"According to the data, in 2025, 6,187 'All-Electric' vehicles were registered, marking a 98% increase compared to 2024," reports the DPShTRr.

"More 'green' vehicles on our roads, for cleaner, more sustainable, and environmentally-friendly transport!" concludes the announcement.
