Lazio Chairman Claudio Lotito announced Thursday that the Rome club have reached an agreement to sign Netherlands midfielder Kenneth Taylor from Ajax after Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Fiorentina in Serie A.
    Lazio are reportedly paying around 15 million euros for the 23-year-old, who will replace 26-year-old Fenerbahce-bound France midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
    He is expected to land in Rome later on Thursday and do a medical for the move on Friday.
    It is the second deal of the January transfer window for Lazio, who were banned from doing player trades in the closed season due to financial issues, after they signed 22-year-old Serbia striker Petar Ratkov from Red Bull Salzburg.
    Ratkov was drafted in after Lazio sold Argentine forward Taty Castellanos to West Ham United for a reported fee of around 30 million euros.
    Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri expressed surprise at the club's transfer activity after the Fiorentina match, saying he thought Guendouzi was part of the core of players the future squad would be built around and confessing that he had not heard of Ratkov.
