NNA - The United States of America has welcomed the financial reform measures being undertaken by the government of Nawaf Salam, notably the Cabinet’s approval of the gap law, describing them as key steps toward restoring confidence in the Lebanese economy.

In a statement, the United States said these reforms contribute to rebuilding the trust of international financial institutions, including the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and support Lebanon’s economic recovery. The statement noted that such measures are essential for restoring confidence in the Lebanese banking sector, serve Lebanon’s long-term interests, and help attract international investment.
