taly's Paris Olympics 10,000 m silver medallist Nadia Battocletti on Wednesday won the Bolzano BOclassic New Year's Eve race for the third consecutive year.
    The Trentino native won the 5,000 meters in the historic center of the South Tyrolean capital in 15:50, ahead of Federica Del Buono and Ethiopian Ksanet Alem.
    After the race, Nadia said she was happy to have taken home her third victory in Bolzano.
    "I had planned a progressive race, and I managed to win," said the multiple champion.

Her focus is already on 2026.
    "I'll soon begin warm-up training for the World Indoor Championships in Poland in March.

I'll be competing in this type of competition for the first time, and in the summer I'll be competing in the European Track Championships."
