TIRANA, December 11 /ATA/ Albanian skier Denni Xhepa secured a resounding triumph in the FIS Slalom race held on Wednesday in Val Cenis.
The 22-year old Xhepa started the race with an impressive performance in the first run, where he recorded a time of 43.55 seconds.
He recorded 45.86 seconds in the second run, closing the race with a total time of 1:29.41.
His strong performance gave him a 0.76-second advantage over French rival Nash Marchand Hout, while Theo Lopez came in third.
“Deni Xhepa wins the Slalom in Val Cenis! What an excellent result today in France! Deni proudly raises the red and black flag on the international stage”, said the Albanian Ski Federation after the triumph.
