NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, departed Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport on Monday bound for Sofia on an official visit at the invitation of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.
The accompanying delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji, with Lebanon’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Rihab Abou Zein, joining the delegation upon arrival.
During the visit, President Aoun will hold talks with his Bulgarian counterpart focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
The President is also scheduled to meet with a number of senior Bulgarian officials, including Prime Minister Rosen Jeliazkov and Speaker of Parliament Raya Nazaryan.
The Bilateral talks between President Joseph Aoun and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev commenced on Monday at the Presidential Palace in Sofia.
The meeting will be followed by expanded discussions between the Lebanese and Bulgarian delegations, focusing on strengthening cooperation and relations between the two countries.
