Inter overcame some stuff resistance from Kairat Almaty to beat the Kazakhs 2-1 at the San Siro on Wednesday and maintain their perfect record in the season's Champion League at the half-way stage of its league phase.
    Carlos Augusto scored the winner in the 67th minute after Kairat's Ofri Arad had cancelled out Lautaro Martinez's opener.
    Last season's runners-up Inter have 12 points from four games and head the standings alongside Bayern Munich and Arsenal.
    Atalanta boosted their chances of qualifying for the knock-out stage with a 1-0 win at Marseille thanks to a late goal by Lazar Samardzic.
    The Bergamo side are 16th in the table with seven points.
    Serie A champions Napoli and Juventus are flirting with elimination after they drew 0-0 and 1-1 at home with Eintracht Frankfurt and Sporting Lisbon respectively on Tuesday.
    Napoli are 24th with four points, while the Turin giants are 26th with three.
