NNA - CHAWAKEER, 03rd october 2025 – Coordinated Training Activities with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) took place from 29th September 2025 to 03rd October 2025 at the LAF’s Chawakeer Training Center in order to improve the cooperation, capabilities, and effectiveness of LAF-UNIFIL troops.
The training activity consisted of conducting training with LAF personnel focused on Basic first Aid and combat medical care. ITALBATT allocated personnel and resources, consisting of 8 soldiers , including one Combat Medic and one Specialist Medical Staff, to support the training with the LAF, ensuring safe and effective execution in line with UNIFIL standards. All units coordinated with the LAF and their counterparts to improve interoperability, mutual understanding and operational readiness. The importance of first aid training was emphasized in order to effectively mitigate the risks associated with the operational environment.
The training activities assessed how the Units involved can address manage Cure Under Fire situations, Evacuation techniques and casualty movement, the coordination and decision-making, burn treatment (recognition, first response and stabilization Practical scenarios with simulated casualties), airway management basics and shock prevention and use of casualties evacuation.
After the final exercise, consisted of mass casualty scenario with multiple injuries, the ITALBATT Commander, Colonel Davide Marini, delivered the training certificate to the LAF personnel.
