ANSA - Sinner swats Djokovic to reach Six Kings final agst Alcaraz

Italian kicked my ass says Serb great

Amajestic Jannik Sinner swatted away record 24-time grand slam winner Novak Djokovic in straight sets Thursday night to reach the final of the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh where he will meet great rival Carlos Alcaraz.
The 24-year-old world no 2 and four-time slam winner from South Tyrol beat the 38-year-old Serb legend 6-4 6-2 to set up the umpteenth rematch against 22-year-old six-time slam winner Alcaraz of Spain, with whom he has swapped recent slams and to whom he lost his number one status after a defeat in the US Open.
Djokovic joked about it after being thrashed again by Sinner, saying: "Excuse the language, but it's never nice when someone kicks your ass like that on court.

But it's really incredible to still be playing at a high level.

Being in the top five, top ten...
it's a great feeling. "I'm giving it my all. I have the body I have, and I'm grateful for everything God has given me in life," said the winner of 24 Grand Slam titles. "It's been an incredible journey. There's so much to celebrate. I'd love it if someone could trade me a younger body, just for a year, so I could try to beat these guys. That would be nice. Jokes aside, I'm still motivated. I know it's getting much harder for me to beat Jannik and Carlos (Alcaraz, ed.). I'll keep challenging them until I succeed."
