Individuals who want to transfer their tax base to Greece, may be able to apply for the related special taxation status online for income from employment and business activities as of Friday (October 3), the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) said on Thursday.

Deputy National Economy & Finance Minister Giorgos Kotsiras and AADE Governor George Pitsilis decided on the process for the digital application, which relates both to wage earners and business owners.

The conditions that must be fulfilled include transferring one's tax base from a European Union or a European Economic Area member state and asserting they will remain in Greece for at least 2 years.

A decision will be issued immediately once these conditions are confirmed. If documentation supporting the claims is necessary, the applicants can attach the documents online.
