ALGIERS- The 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), to kick off Thursday in Algiers, is set to be the most significant and ambitious edition since its launch, thanks to unprecedented participation levels, promising economic opportunities, and exceptional resources dedicated to ensuring its success, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and Algeria's ongoing historical commitment to continental integration.
Under the theme “A Gateway to New Opportunities,” this 4th edition will feature over 2,000 exhibitors and delegations from 140 countries, expecting to host more than 35,000 professional visitors.
The event is also expected to conclude with the signing of major trade and investment agreements worth over USD44 billion.
In this regard, Algeria has deployed all necessary resources to provide participants, including official delegations, exhibitors, and trade visitors, with exceptional hospitality conditions.
Algeria has implemented comprehensive support and facilitation measures to make this 4th edition the largest and most ambitious since the IATF's launch in 2018.
Organized by Algeria alongside the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the fair's founder, the African Union Commission, and the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), this 4th edition has received special attention from the country's top leadership, that have ensured all stakeholders are involved to guarantee excellent organization of this major event.
Last April, during a meeting of the Council of ministers, the President ordered the implementation of all necessary facilitations for African partners participating in this economic event, along with comprehensive measures to ensure its success for both national and African economies.
Algeria's ambition is to make this 4th edition, to be held at the Exhibition Palace (Pins Maritimes) and the “Abdellatif Rahal” International Conference Center, a resounding success, recognizing this biennial event as one of Africa's premier trade and investment partnership platforms.
Beyond the official opening ceremony, the 4th edition's program includes specialized exhibitions, an Algeria Day, an investment agencies summit, an African diaspora conference, B2B and B2G business meetings, a trade and investment forum, an automotive industry showcase, dedicated startup and innovation spaces, in addition to extensive cultural and artistic programming.
