HINA - Croatia wins team silver in trap shooting at European Championships

ZAGREB, 4 Aug (Hina) - Croatian shooters Giovanni Cernogoraz, Anton and Josip Glasnović won team silver in trap shooting at the European Championships held on Sunday in Châteauroux, France, and came close to medals in the individual final.

In the team event, scores from the three-day individual qualifications were combined. Anton Glasnović hit 123 out of 125 targets, placing second, while Cernogoraz hit 122 targets and placed fifth, earning both a spot in the individual final.

The Croatian trio scored a total of 360 hits, behind Italy, who claimed gold with 366. Turkey secured bronze with 359 hits.

In the individual final, Anton Glasnović hit 31 out of 35 targets, finishing fourth, while Cernogoraz placed fifth with 25 out of 30.

Bronze went to Italy’s Mauro De Filippis, who hit 37 targets. His compatriot Massimo Fabbrizi claimed the European title with 48 out of 50, while Britain’s Matthew Coward-Holley took silver with 47 hits.
