'Iliad - The Game of Gods', a play produced by Nuovo Teatro (New Theatre) and directed by Marco Balsamo, was acclaimed by the public over the course of three days of performances at the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
    The play was co-produced by the Foundation of the Donizetti Theatre in Bergamo, the Theatre Foundation of Tuscany and the Stabile Theatre of Friuli Venezia Giulia Actors Roberto Aldorasi, Alessio Boni, Francesco Niccolini and Marcello Prayer rewrote and performed the Iliad to showcase the most ancient myths of western poetry and the war of all wars.
    Another protagonist of the performance was Jun Ichikawa, an internationally-renowned Japanese actress, dancer and voice actress who is an ambassador of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
    "I am very honoured to be here", said Ichikawa, stressing that the days of the event were "extraordinary".
    "The Japanese public gave us a lot of feedback, because our new interpretation was also made in Japanese, with the participation of the Tetsuro Shimaguchi Tetsuro, Kill Bill's choreographer who helped us with the final choreography", stressed the ambassador of the Italy Pavilion.
