ROME- The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held one on one meeting on Wednesday, in Rome, with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, as part of the official visit he is conducting in this friendly country.

The President of the Republic received a formal welcome from Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinal presidential palace, in accordance with Italian protocol.

After listening to the national anthems of both countries, the two Presidents reviewed a detachment of the Italian Republican Guard, which rendered them honors.

The President of the Republic arrived on Tuesday evening, in Rome, leading an important delegation for an official visit to the Italian Republic, a friendly country, during which he will chair, from the Algerian side, the 5th High-Level Algerian-Italian Intergovernmental Summit.

This visit holds particular importance for strengthening historical friendship ties and reinforcing bilateral relations in several fields between the two friendly countries.
