ATA - Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro Join Forces to Combat Informality in Labor Market

TIRANA, July 2 /ATA/ Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro have launched a joint initiative to combat informality in the labor market, marking a significant step toward creating a safer environment aligned with European standards.

During a regional meeting in Tirana, facilitated by the German government via GIZ, representatives from the labor inspectorates of the three countries convened to share experiences and harmonize concrete measures aimed at enhancing working conditions and combating informality.

This cooperation focuses on managing regular cross-border migration by adopting best European practices, as well as developing joint inspections and coordinated actions against violations of labor rights.
Additionally, the initiatives strongly promote decent and safe work throughout the region, consolidating a more sustainable and fair labor climate.

The agreement signed between Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro exemplifies regional cooperation, representing a unified approach to addressing common challenges in the labor market.
