Italian families' purchasing power increased by 0.9% in the first quarter of 2025 with respect to the previous three months, Istat said on Monday.
The national statistics agency said that, excluding a drop in the last three months of 2024, purchasing power has been on an upward trend since the first quarter of 2023.
It said nominal disposable income rose by 1.8% in the first quarter and consumer spending increased by 1.2%.
It said the propensity to save was up 0.6 of a percentage point to 9.3%.
