TIRANA, June 13/ATA/ Since January 2024, the film digitization studio at the Central State Film Archive has managed to scan 330 film titles as well as over 4,620 image and sound reels, creating very high-quality digital assets.
This is the first time that Albania has a modern film digitization studio and this was made possible through European Union funds, implemented by UNOPS, within the framework of the EU4Culture program.
The studio established at the Film Archive is transforming the way in which works of our film heritage are preserved, restored and transmitted. Film Archive objective is to digitize the entire fund of 4,330 Albanian film works.
The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation announced that it remains committed to build the technical and human capacities at Film Archive, to guarantee the preservation and promotion of this precious national asset. /e.r/p.s./
