Kevin Debruyne still has to formally sign for Napoli but the Belgium and Man City great already been given the ultimate honour of getting a figurine of himself in Naples' presepe street San Gregorio Armeno.
While the 33-year-old star was gong through a medical at a Rome clinic where Napoli fans mobbed him and chanted his name, artisan Genny Di Virgilio unveiled the figurine showing the midfield legend as a terracotta shepherd, but wearing the shirt of the recently crowned and four-time Italian champions.
"He has already taken his place in the team - Di Virgilio explains to ANSA -, the only thing I haven't indicated is his shirt number.
First of all because it's not yet known and then because his number at Manchester City, 17, is better changed.
Around here we care about certain things." The number 17 is unlucky in Italy and especially in famously superstitious Naples.
