APS - Museum of Enrico Mattei, Algerian liberation Revolution’s friend, designated and added to Italian heritage

ALGIERS — The museum of the friend of the Algerian liberation Revolution, Enrico Mattei (1906-1962), has been designated as a National Museum in Italy, and added to the Italian heritage.

The museum’s official designation by Italy’s Ministry of Culture took place in the presence of the Ambassador of Algeria to Italy, local elected officials, the family of the friend of the liberation Revolution, Enrico Mattei, and numerous citizens, in the city of Matelica, Italy.

The militant and friend of the Algerian Revolution, Enrico Mattei, had been honored by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who posthumously awarded him the medal of Friends of the Algerian Revolution.

The gas pipeline connecting Algeria and Italy bears his name in recognition of his appreciable services to the Algerian Revolution.
