MAP - Jordanian Delegation in Rabat to Explore Morocco's Decentralization Model

Rabat - May 21, 2025 - (MAP) - A Jordanian delegation from the Council of the Prefecture of Amman is currently on a working visit to Morocco to explore the country's experience in decentralization and advanced regionalization.

As part of their agenda, the delegation—led by Ziad Suleiman Al-Adwan, Vice-President of the Prefecture—held a meeting on Tuesday in Rabat with the President of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra Regional Council.

During this meeting, Al-Adwan praised the constructive cooperation between the two countries and their shared desire to strengthen the strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of local administration and the development of decentralized action.

Al-Adwan noted that this meeting serves as a platform for dialogue and fruitful exchange, opening broad prospects for cooperation between Moroccan and Jordanian institutions.

This collaboration, he continued, aims to promote good governance, expand citizen participation, and encourage sustainable and inclusive development.

The Jordanian delegation’s visit program includes, notably, tours of the inter-municipal cooperation institution "Al Assima" and the Rabat Region Development Company, as well as tours of the main historical and tourist sites of of Rabat.
