ZAGREB, 2 May (Hina) - Industrial production in Croatia rose for the fourth consecutive month in March, increasing by 3.1% year-on-year, though at a slower pace than the previous month, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The report shows that industrial output in March fell by 1.9% compared to the previous month, while it was up 3.1% compared to March last year.
This marks the fourth straight month of year-on-year growth in industrial production, although slower than the 5.4% increase recorded in February.
Year-on-year growth in March was recorded in three out of five sectors, with the highest increase seen in energy production, which rose by 23.2%.
This was followed by a 7.3% rise in the production of capital goods, while the output of intermediate goods increased by 1.6%.
On the other hand, the production of non-durable consumer goods fell by 6.9%, and durable consumer goods by 4.1%.
In the first three months of this year, industrial production rose by 5.2% compared to the same period last year.
Thus, production saw a significant increase at the start of 2025, following a 2.4% decline recorded in 2024.
