HINA - Incumbent Milanović beats Primorac by large margin to win 2nd term

ZAGREB, 13 Jan (Hina) – According to the results from the State Electoral Commission, based on 99.66% of processed polling stations, the incumbent president Zoran Milanović won 74.88% of the vote in Sunday's presidential 

runoff, while his challenger, Dragan Primorac, secured 25.32%.

Milanović, the candidate of the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its partners, received 1,119,770 votes, and thus secured his second term while Primorac, the candidate of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and its partners, received 379,711.

The results are based on data from 6,732 out of a total of 6,755 (99.66%) processed polling stations.

The number of voters at the processed polling stations was 3,524,240.

A total of 1,556,471 voters cast their ballots, representing 44.16% of the eligible electorate.

The number of valid ballots was 1,499,481, or 96.34%, while the number of invalid ballots was 56,990, or 3.66%.
