TIRANA, Jan 12 /ATA/ The Auto Moto Park Albania, Albania’s first ever auto-racing circuit set to be built in the central region of Elbasan, will operate 365 days a year offering a wide range of various services.

PM Edi Rama highlighted importance of the country’s first ever circuit auto-racing project set to be constructed in compliance with the FIA and the FIM standards in the area of Kraste, Elbasan.

The government head said that over one billion viewers worldwide will watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix races in Elbasan, once the project completes.

“However, the Auto Moto Park will also serve as a multiservice centre, housing an education centre for road safety, a destination for motorbike races, as well as a tourist attraction for sightseers to visit the museum and the recreational areas,” PM Rama said.

The project, in addition to promoting motorsports culture and road safety, is also expected to become an attractive destination for the foreign racers and will spur local tourism development and economy, turning Albania into the region’s epicentre of motorsport events./r.e/u.sh/
