SETIF- After a six-year standstill, the 10th edition of the National Classical Music Days kicked off on Saturday at the Hassen Belkired municipal theatre, in Setif.
The three-day event will offer music lovers pieces drawn from the great classics composed by the greatest musicians, performed by Algerian musicians, in duets and solos, as well as by symphonic orchestras, told APS the honorary chairman of the Culture and Arts League of the municipality of Setif, organizer of the event in partnership with the People's Communal Assembly.
The event will continue on Sunday with the orchestra of the Regional Musical Training Institute of Laghouat, and that of the Classical Music Cultural Association of Setif, conducted by Maestro Laïd Ferhat, after a solo performance by pianist Meriem Amrani.
On Monday, the third and final day of the event, the stage of the Hassen-Belkired Theatre will be entrusted to the orchestra of the National Higher Institute of Music (INSM) of Algiers, which will entertain the audience with pieces from the classical repertoire, followed by the screening of a video highlighting the opinions and impressions of participants from previous editions.
