ATA - Denaj: Agricultural exports increased by 19.5%

TIRANA, Dec 16 /ATA/ Agricultural exports recorded a 19.5% increase during the period from January to November 2024 compared to the previous year. 
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, announced that the positive performance of the agricultural sector is attributed to the tireless work of our farmers in producing high-quality “Made in Albania” products that are competitive in international markets. 
“The data show that during the period from January to November this year, 435,372 tons of agricultural products were exported, compared to 364,219 tons in the same period last year,” stated Denaj. 
According to her, incentive policies will continue for all labor force, working towards the government’s objective of reaching 1 billion dollars in exports by 2030,” she said. 
The government has increased the budget for agriculture and rural development in 2025. The budget of 14.7 billion lek addresses priorities for supporting farmers and strengthening the sustainability of the sector. 
The budget also includes funding for policies aimed at the sustainable development of agriculture, the blue economy, and digitalization. /j.p/sm/
