TIRANA, Oct 25 /ATA/ Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, held a meeting on Friday with the Rector of the College of Europe, Federica Mogherini. 

Spiropali stated that membership in the EU is a national strategic objective and top priority on agenda of the Assembly, which is at the frontline of the European integration process. 

“The opening of the College means a lot for Albania and our journey toward joining the European family,” she remarked. 

Mogherini informed Spiropali that they have made an incredible job with 32 students from 21 different nationalities and praised the Assembly’s support in strengthening their capacities. 

Mogherini expressed her delight at holding a session with the students of the College of Europe and the Parliament Speaker of the Assembly dedicated to European integration. 

Following the meeting, Spiropali and Mogherini had a session with students at the College’s facilities in Student City. 

The College of Europe opened its representation office in Tirana in 2023, a crucial milestone toward the establishment of the Tirana campus. This initiative is designed to empower the next generation of leaders and diplomats.
