TIRANA, October 23 /ATA/ Agricultural exports followed a steady upward trend.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj appreciated today that agricultural exports recorded a 31% increase during September 2024 compared to last year.
In September of the current year, there were 23,619 tons of exports from 18,034 tons in September last year.
Denaj said that “Made in Albania” agricultural products are steadily increasing their presence towards foreign markets.
According to her, the numbers in a positive trend show a clear picture of the increase in quality and the empowerment of farmers in the country.
The government has pursued policies of support which on the other hand have increased investments in improving the quality and standards of Albanian products that are steadily increasing their presence in international markets.
The favorable climate, the proximity to European markets, the opportunity to cover regional markets with untapped potential, as well as the low-cost labor force, make Albania a country with promising potential in several sectors, but especially in agriculture.
The main agricultural products that Albania exports are medicinal plants, fresh and processed vegetables, olive oil, essential oils, watermelons, fruits, canned fish, etc. /j.p/p.s./
