APS - 12th NAPEC opens in Oran

ORAN- The 12th "Africa & Mediterranean Energy & Hydrogen Exhibition and Conference (NAPEC 2024)" kicked off in Oran’s Convention Center (CCO).

The opening ceremony was chaired by Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energy, Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Yacine Merabi, Commissioner of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Noureddine Yassaa, and Chief Executive Officers of the groups Sonatrach and Sonelgaz, Rachid Hachichi, and Mourad Adjal, as well as ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic bodies in Algeria and the Wali (governor) of Oran, Saïd Sayoud.

Themed: "Balancing Hydrocarbons and Clean Energy: Towards efficient energy mix,” the fair will gather major global companies from the petroleum and gas sectors.

The fair will also witness the participation of suppliers of products and services relating to hydrocarbons and energy," added the source. 

"This year's edition will deal with several themes aimed at exploring the challenges and opportunities related to energy transition, while highlighting the role of fossil fuels, particularly natural gas, in the future energy mix, according to the organizers.

NAPEC is "a high-level international platform bringing together specialists in the field of energy and hydrocarbons to explore networking opportunities, exchange ideas, and conclude agreements."
