The real disposable incomes of Italian families fell in 2023, widening the gap with respect to the EU average, according to data on Eurostat's 'Social Scoreboard'.
With 2008 levels a benchmark of 100, Eurostat said Italian real incomes dropped from 94.15 in 2022 to 93.74 last year.
The average for the EU, on the other hand, went from 110.12 to 110.82.
However, Italy's scores improved on employment and unemployment and on in-work poverty.
