Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on the sidelines of a Group of 20 finance ministers' meeting in the United States Monday that Italy's performance on refinancing its debt was currently fine and that not every G7 member could say the same.
Italy's debt, he said, "is no longer a problem like in the past: there are many other debts in the world, some visible and some invisible, which are a factor in the imbalance.
"ebt is not the only factor in the imbalance" in the current scenario.
"We are fairly fine with regard to its refinancing.
Even in the G7 countries, not everyone is in the same situation as us," the minister concluded on the sidelines of the G20 Finance Ministers' meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.
