In Italy, there are almost four young people out of work for every adult aged 25 and over out of work, according to an International Labour Organization (ILO) report on global youth employment trends, which confirms a continued disadvantage for young people despite improved access to employment.

' "Unemployment has decreased significantly, and especially the incidence of NEETs, which has almost halved in the space of a decade, from 25.7% in 2015 to 13.3% in 2025: the largest reduction among all EU countries," ILO said.

"Despite this progress, Italy continues to perform less favorably than the EU average."
