TIRANA, July 8 /ATA/ - The Presheva Book Fair 2026 opens on Wednesday at the Abdulla Krashnica Cultural Centre in Presheva, bringing together around 30 publishing houses from Albanian-speaking territories across the region.

Held under the theme “Books and Tradition,” the two-day fair will showcase thousands of titles spanning all age groups and genres.

The programme also features an exhibition of works by artists from Presheva, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, accompanied by performances of traditional Albanian music.

The event, now in its second edition, is organised by the Mehmet Jusufi Library in Presheva and Albas Publishing House, with the support of Albania's Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Albanian Embassy in Serbia, the Albanian National Council and the Municipality of Presheva.

Organisers say the fair provides an important platform for publishers, cultural institutions, authors and readers, promoting books, reading and Albanian cultural heritage.

The second edition is expected to further strengthen cultural cooperation and ties among institutions, publishers, writers and readers across Albanian-speaking regions.
