ANSA - Sossai's Last One for the Road wins the big prizes at the Donatello awards

Movie collects eight gongs, including best film, best actor and best director

Francesco Sossai's 'Le Città di Pianura', which translates as 'the cities of the plain' but has the international name 'The Last One for the Road', was the biggest winner on Wednesday night at the 71st David di Donatello awards, Italy's equivalent of the Oscars, taking eight prizes.
    The drama road movie about two older men who befriend a shy architecture student swept the main prizes, winning Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Sergio Romano, Best Original Screenplay, Best Song, Best Editing, Best Producer, and Best Casting.
    Oscar-winner Paolo Sorrentino's 'La Grazia' came away empty-handed.
