NNA - Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos discusses bilateral media relations with China Media Group delegation, receives UNESCO Regional Office delegation

NNA - Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos, on Tuesday received in his office at the ministry, a delegation from China Media Group’s Middle East Regional Office, which included: General Director Mo Li, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Li Chao, Senior Correspondent Yang Yuan, and Correspondent Christine Tjereh.

After the meeting, Minister Morcos said: "I was honored to meet with a delegation from China Media Group, the main group affiliated with the Chinese central government, which includes audio-visual and print media."

Minister Morocs pointed out that he "conveyed Lebanon's protest against Israeli attacks in general, particularly those targeting journalists," adding that he provided the delegation with the details of Lebanon's official actions aimed at putting an end to these attacks and preventing their recurrence.

Morcos said: "We also discussed the bilateral media relations between Lebanon and China, and ways to activate them, particularly with regard to the exchange of visits between media delegations from both countries."

Morcos also said that the discussion touched on ways of cooperation with state media in Lebanon, particularly Tele Liban and Radio Lebanon.

The Minister of Information also received a delegation from the UNESCO Regional Office, headed by its Director and Representative to Lebanon, Paolo Fantoni, accompanied by the communications and information programme officer, George Awad, with whom he discussed the issue of attacks on Lebanese journalists.
