TIRANA, March 28 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, on Friday announced the kickoff of a series of discussions with young people and students throughout the country, as part of the initiative “EU and You – Europe starts at Home.”
In a post on the social media platform X, Minister Hoxha informed that the event was launched in collaboration with the Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni. Meanwhile, the Chief Negotiator for European Integration, Majlinda Dhuka, is expected to join the discussions in the coming sessions.
Hoxha highlighted that the first stop of the tour was at the School of Magistrates, where a conversation took place with students and future magistrates.
“Our objective is clear: to engage in discussions about Europe, the integration process, and our collective present and future, under the theme ‘EU & You – Europe starts at Home,'” Hoxha stated.
He emphasized the importance of involving young people in the integration process, stressing that reforms are implemented at home, and deliver a direct impact on the citizens’ life.
“Although meetings are often held in Brussels, it is here that the reforms are implemented; the monitoring is conducted there, but the impact is felt here; decisions are made in Brussels, but the outcomes are tangible for the citizens here,” the minister remarked.
Hoxha described the European Union accession process as a collective national effort.
“Membership in the European Union is our major project, where each of us has a role to play. It is a story we are writing together, every day, with hard work and dedication,” he stated.
