Stellantis sold 170,816 cars on the European market (EU, EFTA and UK) in February, a rise of 9.5% compared with the same month last year, according to data released on Tuesday.
As a result the market share of the Italian-French-American group, whose brands include Jeep, Peugeot, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Chrysler, rose from 16.2% to 17.4%.
In the first two months of 2026 Stellantis sold 335,426 cars in Europe, 8.2% more than in the equivalent period in 2025, and its market share for the two months rose from 15.8% to 17.3%.
Sales on the European auto market as a whole were up 1.7% year-on-year in February but they were down 1% for the January-February period.
