NNA - The US Embassy in Beirut announced that it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, urging US citizens to "make decisions regarding their personal safety based on the latest developments."

The Embassy confirmed via the "X" platform that the US government is ready to assist its citizens who wish to leave the region, by providing them with the latest information on available travel options.

It added that "Middle East Airlines" currently operates commercial flights from Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport, so it strongly advised Americans to consider traveling on one of these flights if they believe it is safe to do so.
