ALGIERS -The Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines affirmed that the upcoming "Algeria Bid Round 2026," set to be launched by the National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT), marks a significant milestone that will usher in "a new era of opportunities" for hydrocarbon exploration and development in the country.
A post published by the Ministry on its social media platforms on Saturday said that "ALNAFT is preparing to launch the Algeria Bid Round 2026, opening new horizons for exploration and development across some of the world’s most promising hydrocarbon opportunities, in addition to world-class assets."
The Ministry added that further details will be revealed "soon," as "Algeria presses forward toward exploiting new potential, strengthening strategic partnerships and shaping the future of hydrocarbon sector development in Algeria."
"Algeria Bid Round 2024," whose results were announced in June 2025, resulted in companies of various nationalities winning hydrocarbon exploration licenses across five regions.
The launch of "Algeria Bid Round 2024," the first of its kind since 2014, was part of a broad program through which ALNAFT identified 17 hydrocarbon projects to be offered for investment through a series of rounds targeting international companies.
