Tunis, Feb. 18 (TAP) - It was agreed, during a working session held on Wednesday, to support the Enfidha deep-water port and logistics services zone project as a strategic national project.
The participants also agreed to ensure full compliance with environmental requirements and the principles of sustainable development alongside the project’s economic and development objectives and to prepare an action plan for the next phase so that all stakeholders involved can carry out their respective tasks and procedures within the set deadlines.
The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Environment, was attended by the CEO of Enfidha Port Company, the Director General of the National Agency for Environmental Protection, and the Director General of the Coastal Protection and Planning Agency.
It focused on discussing the project’s studies and next stages, including updating the technical, economic and environmental studies and continuing close coordination between Enfidha Port Company and the institutions of the Ministry of Environment.
