MAP - La crise de Covid a dévoilé la 'fragilité' des acquis en matière de l'empowerment féminin dans le monde arabe
Paris-6 avril 2021-(MAP)-La crise consécutive à la pandémie du Covid-19 a démontré la "fragilité" des acquis et des progrès réalisés dans le monde arabe en matière d’emploi des femmes et leur accès aux postes de responsabilité, ont souligné mardi les participantes aux "Rencontres économiques", un rendez-vous annuel de l’Institut du monde Arabe (IMA) à Paris.
Cette nouvelle édition, organisée exceptionnellement en mode virtuel en raison de la pandémie sous le thème "Leadership et Empowerment féminin dans le monde arabe" , met à l’honneur des dirigeantes de premier plan du Maghreb, du Golfe et du Levant pour explorer les enjeux de l’Empowerment féminin dans le monde arabe.
Se déclinant en tables-rondes et keynotes, ces rencontres offrent l'occasion aux participants, en s’appuyant sur les retours d’expérience concrets d’acteurs de premier plan, d’apporter des réponses à des questions telles: Quelle politique éducative et RH pour favoriser la place des femmes dans l’entreprise ? Comment leur permettre l’accès à des postes à haut niveau ? et Comment favoriser l’entrepreneuriat féminin?
La première table-ronde de cet événement, tenue sous le thème "Leadership et Empowerment féminin dans le monde arabe: vision, enjeux et perspectives", a vu la participation de la ministre du Tourisme, de l’Artisanat, du Transport aérien et de l’Economie sociale, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, aux côtés de Chiara Corazza, directrice générale du Women’s Forum (France), de la princesse Sheikha Intisar Al Sabah, Fondatrice de la Fondation Intisar et de l’initiative Bareec (Koweït) et de Salma Al Rashid, Chief Advocacy Officer de Al Nahda Society for Women et Représentante Women 20 (Arabie Saoudite).
Si les participantes ont reconnu des "progrès" et un "mouvement positif et constructif" dans les pays arabes pour encourager l’accès des femmes à l’emploi et aux postes de responsabilité, elles ont relevé toutefois que les chiffres de la crise sanitaire qui a engendré une autre crise économique et sociale sont venus rappeler à quel point ces acquis sont "fragiles" et qu'il reste un "long" chemin à parcourir.
Elles ont a appelé à "l’extrême vigilance" afin de préserver les progrès "fragiles" obtenus, face aux "tentations" de ceux, qui devant chaque crise, cherchent à "remettre en cause la place de la femme".
A cette occasion, Mme Fettah Alaoui a appelé à poursuivre ce combat pour l’émancipation des femmes et assurer leur empowerment, insistant particulièrement sur le rôle de l’éducation des jeunes filles et des jeunes femmes notamment dans le monde rural.
La ministre s’est félicitée à cet égard qu’au Maroc, la proportion des jeunes femmes évolue positivement dans les universités et les grandes écoles, insistant sur l’importance d’encourager les femmes à poursuivre leurs études universitaires et dans les grandes écoles d’études supérieures.
Elle a, en outre, pointé du doigt, l’existence de lois discriminatoires à l’égard des femmes d’où la nécessité de légiférer davantage, évoquant également la problématique de l’inclusion financière des femmes et la nécessité de les encourager à l'entrepreneuriat.
Déplorant un problème de mentalité de culture, la responsable gouvernementale, a fait observer que certains milieux dans le monde arabe "se cachent derrière la culture pour refuser le leadership à la femme".
"La crise a redévoilé beaucoup de maux des sociétés, particulièrement des challenges et des difficultés que vivent les femmes qui ont été exemplaires dans la gestion de la crise" à tous les niveaux, mais qui en même temps, ont fait les frais étant les premières à perdre leurs emplois ou à recourir au chômage partiel, entre autres, a noté Mme Fettah Alaoui lors de cette table-ronde qui a été modérée par la journaliste Isabelle Mourgère, rédactrice en chef Les Terriennes-TV5 Monde.
Dans la même lignée, les participantes, qui sont revenues sur leurs expériences personnelles et ont livré leur réflexion et leur ressenti à propos de l’empowerment féminin, ont souligné unanimement qu’il s’agit d’un "chemin long et difficile" partout dans le monde, et non pas seulement dans le monde arabe, faisant observer que ce challenge passe par la reconnaissance des femmes en tant que talents, loin de toute catégorisation basée sur le genre.
Elles ont également plaidé pour une nouvelle renaissance culturel et législative, un changement de paradigme où les femmes sont au coeur de toutes politiques et un changement de mentalité à travers notamment l'éducation et la culture.
Cette nouvelle édition des "Rencontres économiques" a été ouverte par des mots de Jack Lang, Président de l’Institut du monde arabe, d’Agnès Pannier Runacher, ministre déléguée française chargée de l’Industrie et Jean-Michel Crovesi, secrétaire général de l’IMA.
M. Lang a évoqué le contexte particulier dans lequel ce tient cette rencontre, qui ne cesse d'engranger les "succès" et qui au fil des éditions, s'est imposée comme un rendez-vous incontournable qui réunit dirigeants d’organisations, chefs d’entreprises, responsables politiques et experts pour croiser leurs regards sur les grands sujets économiques actuels.
Il a relevé que cet événement est non sans lien avec la grande exposition "Divas D'Oum Kalthoum à Dalida", qui se tient à l'IMA du 21 mai au 25 juillet, et à travers laquelle l’Institut entend rendre un hommage unique aux plus grandes artistes femmes de la musique et du cinéma arabes du XXe siècle, en célébrant à la fois leur histoire et leur héritage contemporain.
La ministre française est revenue de son côté sur la politique de son pays en matière du leadership et d'empowerment féminin au sein de l'économie notamment dans le domaine de l'industrie.
Cette journée sera marquée également par un keynote sur la thématique de "l’inclusion et la diversité, un moteur de transformation pour le groupe OCP".
