ATA - Ministry of Health: 17 tests proved to be negative of coronavirus




TIRANA,February27/ATA/-There has been no case of COVID-19 coronavirus in Albania, so far. The Task Force at the Ministry of Health confirmed that 17 suspected cases were tested, but proved to be negative.

Head of the Task Force Eugena Tomini stated today that, “Since the outbreak of the epidemic in China in January until yesterday evening, there have been 17 cases tested in total, but they resulted negative of COVID. Eight of them had travel histories with China and 9 with Italy.

“Yesterday, the Virology Laboratory of the Institute of Public Health tested 4 cases which resulted in a negative COVID 2019. Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, 3500 passengers with a travel story have been checked,” said Tomini.

According to her, at Rinas Airport there is carried out the temperature monitoring for all passengers./k.s/p.s./
