ATA - Third quarter 2019/ Tirana has highest natural increase of population
TIRANA, November 14/ATA/- The natural increase of population for the third quarter of 2019 reflects a decrease by 17.1 % compared to the third quarter of 2018.
According to a report published today by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) on the demographic indicators the number of births for the third quarter of 2019 marked a decrease by about 10% compared to the third quarter of 2018. The number of deaths for the third quarter of 2019 marked a decrease by 5.1 % compared to the third quarter of 2018.
In the third quarter of 2019, the natural increase of population registered the highest value in Tirana prefecture, where the number of births exceeds by 1,223 the number of deaths.
During the third quarter of 2019, natural increase had negative value only in prefecture of Gjirokastër, where the number of deaths surpasses with 53 the number of births./a.gjonaj/p.s./
