MAP - «Le Roi : le Maroc de Mohammed VI », un livre pour comprendre le Royaume « au-delà des clichés »

Paris-18 septembre 2019-(MAP)-«Le Roi : le Maroc de Mohammed VI », le nouveau livre de Guillaume Jobin, président de l'École supérieure de journalisme de Paris et Valérie Morales-Attias, auteure et chroniqueuse, qui vient de paraître en France aux éditions Descartes & Cie, se veut «un essai analytique, essentiellement destiné à tous ceux qui veulent comprendre le Maroc au-delà des clichés».

Composé à partir de situations vécues et de témoignages, cet ouvrage de 260 pages dresse «un portrait juste et équilibré du pays, le plus objectif possible, sur les nombreux succès marocains mais aussi sur les difficultés", soulignent les deux auteurs dans un communiqué.
Le livre évoque notamment les succès récents de la diplomatie marocaine sous le leadership du Souverain, la situation politique, économique et sociale actuelle du Maroc et son système de gouvernance.
Ce travail n’est pas un livre « bilan » sur les vingt ans de règne de SM le Roi Mohammed VI, affirme d’emblée Guillaume Jobin, dans un entretien à la MAP. «C’est un hasard que nous publions en 2019 », assure-t-il.
« Notre propos est de faire une analyse de ce qui se passe et s’est passé récemment au Maroc, comment et pourquoi ? C’est un livre de fond qui s’inscrit dans la durée et le futur, pas un ouvrage d’événement », explique-t-il.
Se situant entre un reportage très actuel et un essai analytique, « Le Roi : le Maroc de Mohammed VI » est « destiné essentiellement à tous ceux qui veulent comprendre le Maroc au-delà des clichés, des mythes, des mouvements d’opinion suscités par l’actualité », affirme son co-auteur, pour qui « toute la difficulté était d’écrire à la fois pour les Marocains et les étrangers francophones, pas tous français !.»
Beaucoup d’ouvrages ont été écrits sur le Maroc. Mais rares sont les livres qui parlent de façon juste, équilibrée de ce pays. « A part le livre de 1958 de Jean Lacouture, j’ai eu peine à trouver des ouvrages objectifs sur le Maroc quand j’ai écrit « Mohammed V, le Sultan » en 2015, affirme Guillaume Jobin.
«Nous avons voulu faire un livre honnête, ni pour plaire ni pour déplaire. Un point de vue équilibré que le public marocain comprend", ajoute-t-il.
Pour ce qui est du titre choisi pour cet ouvrage, Guillaume Jobin affirme que le sous-titre : « le Maroc de Mohammed VI», a été ajouté «à la demande de l’éditeur ». « Notre titre « Le Roi », tout court s’est imposé de lui-même. « Le Roi », c’est comme lorsqu'on dit « le Général », le lecteur sait qu’on parle de De Gaulle. Le Souverain marocain est un exemple unique à l’échelle mondiale. Dans cet ouvrage, nous expliquons pourquoi !».
En tant qu'observateur de la réalité du Maroc, pays qu’il n’a connu que depuis 2008, Guillaume Jobin estime que « le Royaume a changé, parfois très rapidement, surtout quand une décision royale est intervenue ».
« Mon souci d’observateur est que ce qui est bien, reste et ce qui va moins bien s’améliore, sans que le Royaume ne perde de son âme. C’est d’ailleurs une sorte de sentiment général chez les étrangers qui connaissent le Maroc et que nous avons écoutés, Africains comme Européens », affirme-t-il.
D’ailleurs, le fait que Valérie Morales-Attias qui demeure au Maroc et Guillaume Jobin qui y passe plus de la moitié de son temps, en étant sa résidence familiale et principale, mais également sa base arrière pour son « travail très international pour l’ESJ Paris », a permis aux deux auteurs d’« écouter et de discuter avec des centaines, voire des milliers de Marocains, d’étrangers au Maroc et de MRE, et aussi de voir sur place ce qui s’y passe. (…). »
« Nous avons le recul d’étrangers et nous sommes présents au Maroc », pour cerner au mieux et objectivement la réalité marocaine, assure Guillaume Jobin.
