Mr. Larkos Larkou as new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
 
Mr. Larkou succeeds Mr. Costakis Constantinou, who has resigned to run for a seat in the Cyprus Parliament. 

Mr. Larkou was born in 1953. He is a graduate of the University of Athens' Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies. He worked for many years as Professor in Philosophy.

He is the author of two books. He has published articles and studies in various Cypriot newspapers.  Mr. Larkou was Editor in Chief of the Cypriot daily newspaper ''Proina Nea'' from 1991 to 1993. 

He is the Chairman of a Cyprus-based think tank for the Society Reform.
