This year’s summit aims at discussing the changes facing the region with Arab and international leaders, and inspire policies, ideas, solutions and enhanced decisions on ways to construct a brighter future for the current and future generations.

Through thirteen open and five closed sessions, the summit will focus on the future of the region in the light of key international changes, and will examine the role of Arab governments in laying the foundations of a future phase that will give them the opportunity to better impact the making of the global future.

Raghida Dergham, Founder and Executive Chairman of Beirut Institute praised “the partaking of prominent figures and leaders of the region and the world in the summit, demonstrating its prominence as a trusted platform capable of initiating the debate and recommending efficient frameworks that contribute to the making of the region”.

Dergham also added that “the decision of the United Arab Emirates to host this summit proves the prominent role of Abu Dhabi in supporting growth and prosperity in the region and globally. Beirut Institute, concluded Dergham “has already shown its potential as a catalyst for dynamic change, and as an independent and non-partisan think tank for the Arab region with global reach. This timely and imperative summit is hence taking the lead in contemplating the future of the Arab region, locally and globally”.

From his part, HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal, Chairman of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Member of the Board of Directors of the Beirut Institute, described the Beirut Institute as “a group of thinkers that look at the Arab world with a discerning eye, an open mind, and a heart full of advice”.

For his part, HE Marwan Kheireddine, Chairman and General Manager, Al Mawarid Bank, Former Lebanese Minister of State, Member of the Board of Directors of Beirut Institute, stated that "Interacting with global thought leaders at Beirut Institute Summit is an opportunity to scrutinize how to engage the Arab region with the future constructively”. “The actionable recommendations that emerge from such collective thinking” Kheireddine said, “give the institute a unique added value. We thank Abu Dhabi for hosting the second edition of Beirut Institute Summit and for giving us such boost and confidence."

Beirut Institute Summit is a collaborative initiative impacting the Region, proactively. Our focus is on designing actionable policies and innovative solutions to turn back the forces of destruction and advance the construction of the Arab Region’s engagement in the emerging global future.
