Lusa - Business News - Mozambique: LAM signs code-share agreement with private airline

Maputo, Mar. 21 (Lusa) – Mozambique’s flag-carrier, LAM, and private airline Fastjet are going to share aircraft through a code-share agreement to carry passengers they announced after signing an agreement on Tuesday.
State-owned LAM suffers from frequent delays because of a lack of planes and resources caused by the crisis which was exacerbated at the beginning of the month when it had difficulty paying for its fuel in advance of deliveries.
Fastjet began flying on the domestic Mozambican market in November when its main shareholder Solenta Aviation was certified.
This is the first commercial cooperation approach of this kind in Africa, the CEO of Fastjet, Nico Bezuidenhout, told reporters.
